RIBBON CUT AT NEW APR SUPPLY/SCHAEDLER YESCO LOCATION

Hazleton, PA – APR Supply Co. and Schaedler Yesco Distribution are pleased to announce the opening of their new joint branch location in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. The ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Friday, October 10.

The newly constructed, 11,600 square foot building is located at 171 S. Filmore Court and features a sales counter to service the area’s contractors and 8,000 square feet of warehouse space to store materials.

The first APR Supply Co. branch opened in Hazleton in 1995, and the new branch is the first time that the company has changed locations in the Hazleton area. The move represented an opportunity for Schaedler Yesco Distribution, a joint venture partner of APR, to move into the new location as well.

“This special joint venture relationship between APR and SYD is integral to the success of both businesses,” said Scott Weaver, President and CEO of APR Supply Co. “It provides a unique benefit to our customers as well, creating a one-stop-shop for all of the supplies they may need on the job.”

The new branch location will allow APR Supply Co. to better care for its customers’ needs with easier access and more visibility while maintaining its already sound reputation in the area.

“The whole team was excited for the move, not just for increased efficiencies and merchandise display area, but mostly because Schaedler Yesco joined us in our new building,” said Dave Orso, APR Hazleton Branch Manager.

APR SUPPLY CO. EXPANDS REACH TO WESTERN PA

LEBANON, PA – Following weeks of negotiating and strategizing, APR Supply Co. is prepared to announce the acquisition of W.G. Balph Company. The transition will begin in June 2014, with the completion of a four-branch addition to be completed within subsequent year.

W.G. Balph Company is a plumbing, heating, and HVAC distributor founded in 1926 by Bill Ralph. In 1995, ownership of the company passed to the MacVitties. The business operated two branch locations – one in Pittsburgh, Pa. and the other in Greensburg, Pa.

“The acquisition of Balph Company represents a continuation of APR’s aggressive growth strategy. More specifically, this move is an extension of our existing joint venture business model,” said David Robinson, COO at APR Supply Co.

Robinson also announced that Brandon Shank would become the Branch Manager of the Pittsburgh and Greensburg locations. Shank has previously held the title of Location Manager of the APR branch in Chambersburg, Pa.

The two Balph locations will eventually be supplemented by two additional APR Supply Co. locations in the Pittsburgh market, thanks to APR’s joint venture relationship with Schaedler Yesco, a distributor of electrical supplies and equipment. The two companies currently share ten branch locations.
